Emilie Lussier scored at 5:42 of overtime to lift the Concordia Stingers to a 2-1 win over the Guelph Gryphons in Saturday’s first of two U Sports women’s hockey championship semifinal showdowns at the Woolwich Memorial Centre in Elmira, Ont.

The host Saint Mary’s Huskies scored three unanswered goals in the first period and then coasted to a 4-1 win over the Windsor Lancers in men’s semifinal action at the U Sports University Cup on Saturday.
Player of the game Ben Boyd scored twice for the eighth-seeded Huskies, including an empty-netter at 18:35 of the third period that ended all hope of a Lancers’ comeback.
Matthew MacDonald and Reid Valade also scored for the Huskies, who outshot the Lancers 26-25.

Braeden MacPhee scored twice for the Reds, while Cody Morgan and Thomas Larouche netted singles.
The Reds outshot the Patriotes 27-23.
