Ella Huber scored 1:33 into overtime as the Boston Fleet beat the MontrĂ©al Victoire 4-3 in a first-place showdown in Professional Women’s Hockey League action at Place Bell on Sunday Afternoon in Laval, Que.
With the overtime win, Boston (9-5-2-3) remained in first place three points ahead of Montreal (9-4-1-5). The Fleet completed a comeback after entering the third period down 3-0.
Loren Gabel scored her first goal of the season, while Megan Keller and Susanna Tapani had the others. Keller added two assists while Alina Muller also had two assists. Aerin Frankel made 27 saves.
Abby Roque had a goal and two assists for Montreal. Marie-Philip Poulin scored the opener for the home team but left the game a few minutes later.
Kati Tabin also scored for the Victoire while Ann-Renee Desbiens made 22 saves.

Kirk made 33 saves and kept the Torrent off the scoreboard after Turnbull kept the puck on a 2-on-1 rush to put the home side ahead four minutes after the opening faceoff. Sara Hjalmarsson scored an empty-net goal with 7.8 seconds remaining before 8,270 spectators at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
Kirk, of Ste. Anne, Man., was at her best in the second half of the second period when Seattle (5-1-2-11) hemmed the Sceptres (7-1-5-8) in their own end. She made nine saves during this stretch. It was the seventh time this season Kirk made 30 or more stops.
The Sceptres (3-0-2-0) have earned points in each of their five outings since the Olympic break.
Toronto defeats Seattle 2-0 as Blayre Turnbull scores the game-winning goal in the first period and Sara Hjalmarsson sealed the victory with an empty netter.
The Torrent outshot Toronto 33-25. Seattle’s Hannah Murphy made 24 saves, 11 in the final 20 minutes.
The capacity crowd gave three former Sceptres and current first-year Torrent players, Julia Gosling, Megan Carter and Carly Jackson, a rousing ovation during the first timeout.
The Sceptres visit Boston on Tuesday while Seattle plays in Montreal on Thursday.
United States captain Hilary Knight (knee) and Olympic teammate Hannah Bilka (upper-body) were big absences for the visitors. Bilka tied for the Olympic tournament lead with four goals in seven games.
