Canada’s men’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team defeated Scotland 19-9 to claim the bronze medal at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Canadian men’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team surged past host Scotland to claim bronze on Wednesday, forcing 10 turnovers en route to a 19-9 win at the SEC Centre.
Rising star Reed De’Aeth of Sherwood Park, Alta., delivered another standout performance, leading all players with nine points and four rebounds while going two-for-two from the free throw line.
Finlay Erskine powered Scotland with eight points. It’s Canada’s 13th bronze and 37th medal overall in Glasgow. England is facing Australia in the men’s final now after defeating Scotland 19-12 earlier Wednesday.
Canada’s women’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team came up just short in its bronze-medal game against Australia later Wednesday, falling 19-17 after leading for the first half of the game. Canadian veteran Kady Dandeneau did everything she could, posting a game-high 16 points with three two-pointers and four rebounds. Georgia Munro-Cook led the Aussies with 12 points.
England takes on Scotland in the women’s final at 2 p.m. ET.
The Canadian men came up short in a thrilling men’s semifinal against England earlier in the day, falling 18-13. De’Aeth had a game-high 10 points and seven rebounds, including a pair of two-pointers from beyond the arc.
