Canada’s Brianna Hennessy and Sophia Jensen each paddled to silver on home waters Saturday at the canoe sprint and Para canoe World Cup in Montreal.

The 24-year-old Jensen, from Chelsea, Que., raced to a second-place finish later Saturday in the women’s C1 500m canoe event after clocking 2:11.98. China’s Sun Mengya (2:10.67) captured gold and Italy’s Olympia Della Diustina (2:13.76) took bronze.

Three-time Olympic medallist Katie Vincent of Mississauga, Ont., was last among the field of nine in 2:41.06.
