IndyCar drivers took to a new circuit in Markham for practice and qualifying Saturday, after sessions were cancelled Friday because the track wasn’t ready. The main event is set for Sunday. CBC’s Tyler Cheese has details.

Malukas put down a time of one minute 14.194 seconds in the second training session of the day. Qualifying will be in the evening.
Alex Palou had the second-best time in 1:14.560 and Dennis Hauger was third, going around the Markham downtown road course in 1:14.592
Organizers had to cancel the first day of track sessions because the course was not completed and had not undergone safety inspections.
